Botulinum Toxin Injections
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, also known as “Botox”, is a medical injectable that temporarily reduces or eliminates facial fine lines and wrinkles. Botulinum toxin is a purified substance that is derived from bacteria, and can block nerve signals to the muscle so that it is not able to contract. The result is a diminished appearance of unwanted facial lines and wrinkles.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injectable diluted form of botulinum toxin type A, which can reduce signs of wrinkles by preventing underlying muscles in the area from contracting and causing them to develop.
What Are the Benefits of BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments available. This injectable option is an ideal treatment for patients who would like to effectively reduce signs of aging and stress, such as:

What does the BOTOX Cosmetic Procedure involve?
The BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure is performed locally in our offices in Sun City Center. BOTOX® injections are performed with an ultrafine needle into the muscles where wrinkles have developed. In most cases, this treatment can be completed in about 15 to 20 minutes or less.
Will I Need a Recovery Period After BOTOX® Injections?
In most cases, there is no need for a recovery period after BOTOX® injections. Most patients go right back to their normal activities after the procedure. Although common side effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic such as mild swelling, bruising, and redness may occur around the injection sites, they generally disappear over the next few days, and are usually easily covered with makeup.
How Long Do BOTOX® Cosmetic Results Last?
The results of BOTOX® Cosmetic usually last approximately three to four months; however, results can vary, and some individuals may experience the effect for even longer periods. Occasional follow-up injections can help many patients extend the duration of BOTOX® Cosmetic effects.
How Much Do BOTOX® Injections Cost?
The cost for the initial consultation is $75. During this consultation, our injectionist will speak with you about your goals and recommend the most ideal treatment option. Should you choose to proceed with the BOTOX® injections, the cost of the initial consultation will be applied toward the cost of your procedure.
The cost of BOTOX® injections at our practice is $14 per unit. The number of “units” of the BOTOX® Cosmetic needed to achieve your goals, in addition to the number of areas being treated and other factors associated with your customized treatment plan, will be taken into account for the total price. You will be provided with a full estimate of the cost of your BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure during the initial consultation and before your treatment procedure.
